Shameless plug and FREE money!!

So this is totally a shameless plug on my part, but hey...you get free money too! I've been seeing ads for Revolution MoneyExchange all around the web and never paid much attention to it until Crystal posted about it. (and I trust her to really look into things) Then Tammy posted about it and I finally signed up.

Revolution MoneyExchange is an online service you would use to send and receive money. Like say you sold something or you owe a friend a few bucks, you just go online and send it right from RME. (just like with paypal) Basically this company is out to really give paypal some major competition! And I think they may just do it too, seeing as how paypal charges the seller a fee and RME does not. Personally I'll be switching over to RME for all my photo stuff.

The best part about it is that they are giving away $25.00 to everyone that signs up right now. All you do is sign up with Revolution Money Exchange and they put $25.00 cash into your account. You can choose to give them your bank account information and then they transfer it from your RME account to your bank account, or they can send you a check (minus the $2.50 check fee)

The shameless plug part, is that if you click the link in this post
I'll get $10.00 for every referral. :-)

Refer A Friend using Revolution Money Exchange

It literally takes just a few moments to type in some of your personal info and then presto, you're $25.00 richer. Then you can refer people and in turn earn some referral $ for yourself.

So, click the link, help this stay at home mom earn some garage sale money :-) and get free money yourself. You can use it for whatever. Like go buy yourself something really super-fly! Or pay your bills and buy food. Whatever. It's even easier than trying to save money!

If you're worried about their privacy policy and the fact that they may share or sell your information to other companies, just read the privacy policy on their site and send in the opt-out form. Simple as that. It's not a gimmick or scam website out to lure in the uninformed.

*Edit. This does work, as I now have the money in my bank account. :-) They send you an e-mail the next day or so and you click the link to accept the funds. (It is a bank so you have to put in your SS#) The guy who used to be the CEO at aol started this company) Many folks have done this and it's not a scam. They're just giving money away instead of spending it on ads and such. (pretty good marketing ploy since the web is hot with info and referrals for it!) *

So I did this - do you have to add a bank account before they'll give you the free $25 do you know???

Yea. You have to set up an account like with paypal. Looks like they're trying to butt into the paypal market.

OK, so you may not have, have to give them a bank account #, it looks like they can send you a check for the $ too, they just then take a fee out of it. Whatever. I have an account set up just for paypal stuff anyways.

Please read their privacy policy which states they can share your personal information including name and social security number - don't sell your identity for $25.00!

" INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect information about you from the following sources:

* Information we receive from you, including information on applications or other forms, such as your name, address, social security number, assets and income;
* Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others, such as your account balance, transaction and payment history, parties to transactions, and credit card usage; and
* Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency, such as your creditworthiness and credit history.

INFORMATION WE DISCLOSE
We may disclose all of the information that we collect, as described above. You may opt out of the disclosure of such information, other than as permitted by law."

Amy,
I understand completely that some people may not feel comfortable giving out this information. I in no way would want someone to sign up if it causes them any unease.

Unfortunately we 'sell our identity' every time we open a bank account or apply for a loan. Each bank has their own privacy policy, and most sell information to third parties or at least within their own parent companies. (Paypal has the same basic privacy policy as Revolution Money Exchange.)

Actually that is not true - Paypal will NOT share your information.

"Disclosure to Third Parties Other Than PayPal Customers
PayPal will not sell or rent any of your personally identifiable information to third parties."

There are some exceptions that can be read on their website - but their policy is NOT the same as RME's.

I have a real bad feeling on this one - stuff that's sounds too easy, usually has a catch.

You may easily 'opt out' of any information sharing. After you log in, click the help button, and scroll down to see 'privacy policy' on the bottom left. At the end of the policy there is a form that you fill out and send in. No biggie.
