Back when my little guy was just 6 months old or so, I started thinking I really should have bought a sling. It would have just been so much more convenient when going about my business at home, especially during the fussy dinner hours, and for when we were out and about. The problem was, I couldn't find anything I liked in the stores. They were either the traditional type, uncomfy baby carriers or they just were not attractive.
While out garage sale-ing one day, I saw the coolest sling I'd ever seen, on another mama who was out with her baby. It looked so comfortable to wear and was fabulously trendy as well. Now, I'm actually a fairly shy person, but I went out of my way to chase this girl down and ask her where she got it! While talking with her she mentioned that it could be used all the way up to the toddler stage, and I was sold. I went home and ordered one right away! I used it for many months every time we went out grocery shopping. Since he was old enough to sit, we used the hip carry and he was always very secure in it, even as he'd try and reach for something on the shelves. I couldn't believe how nice it was to have my baby not crying in the store, and yet I had both my hands free! It was rather comfortable to wear, and didn't make my shoulder or back hurt like the @nugli I owned and didn't like.
I'm really excited to bring you this giveaway because "The Peanut Shell" is offering their 100% organic jersey sling to one lucky mama! This sling is a $48.00 value!!

«Oldest ‹Older 1 – 200 of 222 Newer› Newest»Wow what beautiful fabrics. I love the stretch sateen. Boho Chic was my favorite.
Second entry:
I don't have a baby carrier of any type. I'm not a newbie to natural baby care, but I am to slings. Since this is my sixth child, I have no hands left and need a sling. What a great giveaway week at your site! Thanks so much!
I love the beautiful fabrics on the nursing covers!
Thanks!
I currently use a home-made moby-style wrap and it's awesome. I love the closeness I have with my baby. My older son HATED it. I'm glad my newbie loves it :)
Thanks again!
I love the Walk in the Park sling...my son is 4 months old, and I would love to win this!!
jana_mccraine(at)hotmail(dot)com
2nd Comment:
I made a "sling ring sling", but my son has never liked it...I would love to try a different kind!
jana_mccraine(at)hotmail(dot)com
pink or blue couture are my favorites
having a sling means they are with you more- less strain, more bonding
I love the retro pink sling and the hospital gowns are darlin'.
I like babywearing because you don't say "no" to your child when they just want to be in your arms, but you can still get stuff done :)
And it is also great for football games!
I just LOVE all the floral fabric slings!
I love the walk in the park sling. And the hospital gowns. I wish I'd had one of those when I had my C-section.
david_colleen@mei.net
I LOVE the snowcone baby sling. It is too cute.I am a sucker for brown and blue. :)
gitrecca (at) gmail (dot) com
Right now I use a ring sling that I made... I love it but it's really thin fabric that will not be as nice in the winter months. I love to have my baby close to me and hands free. He is comforted and feels loved and protected. He just turned seven months and we've been using it since he was a month old. We LOVE babywearing!
gitrecca (at) gmail (dot) com
I could really use this sling. Great giveaway. I love the hospital gowns. They are beautiful! Thanks for the chance.
I love the spearmint sling. Love that green color!
Right now I am using a moby wrap and a jeep front pack carrier. I love that baby wearing allows me to be involved with my toddler more while not neglecting my baby's needs.
I love the Weekend in Paris "It's Time" Hospital Bag. It's stylish enough to use as a post-delivery day bag and doesn't scream "I'm full of diapers!"
...and my reason for wanting a baby sling is that we are trying for a pregnancy and I'm nesting! That said a lot of my friends are in the same boat and not everyone is having luck. If we are some of the unlucky ones who have trouble conceiving I know about a dozen other women who are also 'trying' or already pregnant and a sling would make a fantastic shower present.
I really like the nursing covers. I think they are all cute
second entry:
I love baby wearing because it makes it so much easier to get things done. I have four kids and am expecting #5 so of course I never have enough hands.
I LOVE the Sweet Pea hospital gown! What new mom wouldn't want to be wearing that in all those newborn pics at the hospital!?!?
minnesotapeachy@aol.com
I got turned on to baby wearing by a friend from high school who makes Mei Tai Carriers. I love that I can have my girl so close and am able to talk to her so much easier. She was adopted at 8 months, and I think the carrier helped us to bond as well.
minnesotapeachy@aol.com
I like the Weekend in Paris Sling, it's such a pretty pattern!
I think the Spearmint Baby Sling is the one i would choose.
I love baby wearing because it free up my hands and most importantly gives me and my baby the closeness that I love. I also really like to be able to keep her close and covered when we go out when she's so, so little.
Babywearing great for when out with more than one child. You are able to keep you hands free to deal with other children but still able to keep your baby close.
OMG! i would have loved to have one of their hospital gowns when i was having my babies! sarah_jakel at yahoo dot com
Wow, their hospital gowns are REALLY cute! I might think about getting one of those! ;)
Thanks for the giveaway!
saharagreen at gmail dot com
I love the slings the best, but I also really like the nursing covers. They would sure come in handy. :)
The Sunday Drive Sling is pure heaven!
Well, I just found out that we're expecting #3! With a 2 and 4 year old, I need all of the "hands free" options available! I loved the stretch sateen...Boho Chic. :)
*fingers crossed!*
b.k.parr(at)netzero(dot)com
I love the nursing covers, particularly the Sunday Drive color.
adorablyconfused at hotmail dot com
2nd entry- baby wearing is the only way to get anything done with a little one around! I used a bjorn last time.
adorablyconfused @ hotmail dot com
The organic serendipity is lovely! Thank you.
I currently have a sling but haven't used it very much. I think I bought the wrong size and can't seem to get it to work very well. :( But I do use my Bjorn and like it a lot. It's so nice to take out and about where I'll be doing a lot of walking and don't want a clumsy stroller. Thank you.
My favorite is the champagne brunch pattern. I think this would be perfect for baby #3 that is on the way!
Extra credit :)
I've never used a sling. We are expecting baby #3 in May and I would love to try one. I love that you are still holding your baby but your hands are free. Thanks!
I love the Time for Tea sling!
Thank you for the great giveaway!!

I have yet to try a pouch - I have done ring slings and wraps - but have been wanting to try a pouch for a while. I like the time for tea and walk in the park.
I like the walk in the park.
Thanks so much!
I just adore the Window Shopping Nursing Cover!
Thanks for this great giveaway!
callmeabookworm AT gmail DOT com
I like the Sunday Drive Sling, feel so exotic and comfortable at the same time
juan_hurrican (at) yahoo (dot) com
I like the Vanilla Bean Baby Sling. The stretch sateen sounds really comfortable.
I like their peppermint sling. But I would need one in XL because I have big babies.
Thanks for the giveaway!
hetz-junk(at)hotmail(dot)com
I totally want the Sweet Pea Hospital Gown!! I am due in Feb with my 6th and I want a beautiful gown to wear in the hospital this time!!
Thank you for entering me to win the sling!
My favorite thing about babywearing is that it allows me to more easily get out of the house with my twins if I have one on my back.
time for tea is awesome
I love the weekend in paris hospital bag!
I love the time for tea sling!
millkara [at] gmail.com
I have kind of a difficult baby who cries a lot and always wants to be held. My favorite reason for wearing the sling is that it allows me to actually get something done while still keeping him happy. It has been a lifesaver!
millkara [at] gmail.com
I like the Boho Chic fabric sling. The fabrics are all so cool. Thanks for this giveaway!
Second entry- I do not have a sling right now but would love to have one for my next child. I think it is important to hold them close and it makes it easier to go shopping and do chores with the little one close by.
I like the Organic Moss sling. I think every Mom should have a variety of different slings to use...I loved all of mine and would love to gift this to my sister.
owatz (AT) telus (DOT) net
Second Entry. I loved baby wearing because it kept my baby cleaner and safer...away from dirty floors and touching unsanitary things when we were out shopping.
owatz @ telus (DOT) net
I totally want the Sweet Pea hospital gown! Then I'd feel like I was giving birth in style!
princesslimey *at* gmail *dot* com
I didn't "wear" my son and now he's not very cuddly, I wish I had. I am going to wear my baby girl that I'm due with in March because I'm sure I'm going to need my hands much more and I want her to be a cuddler!!!
princesslimey *at* gmail *dot* com
I like several, but I would get the Blacksplash black because it goes with everything and guy or girl can use it.
Second comment.
I love wearing Sam because he is happy, not crying, and I can deal with my other children without a hassle or him tugging at my legs! It also makes shopping easier. He doesn't try to get down, stand up in the cart, or scream.
I like the black stretch sateen sling. They are all beautiful though!
Christy

I like the Boho Chic sling. Very cute!
2nd entry: A friend of mine is having a baby in Dec. She registered for a sling but hasn't gotten it, and these ones are WAY cuter anyway!!
The nursing covers are very nice--the Park Avenue Stroll is beautiful. The hospital bags are great, too!
I loved their hospital gowns! Especially the Waterlily one, too bad it is out of stock right now...
I love to hold my babies as much as I can- sling helps when they get heavier :)
I wear my babies so I can keep them close. It's easier to kiss their sweet faces every two seconds that way!
i am really loving the Cherry Blossom It's Time hospital bag! how adorable!
I would love to win this sling for a dear friend due dec 12. I know she would love it!
thanks so much!
karissag at gmail.com
i love organic serendipity - very nice Great giveaway! I hope I'm chosen as the lucky winner! :)
my reason for wanting one is that I can see my friend that is due 12/13 wearing her baby proud!
I know she would love this and she lives on a teachers salary so me winning it would help her a ton!
thanks so much!
karissag at gmail.com
I am following you on twitter!

love the weekend in paris sling! This is a great one! Thanks for the chance to win :)
I love their nursing covers!
since i am pregnant with baby#2 i loved the cherry blossom hospital gown! what a great idea!
thanks for the giveaway!
specialk[dot]roxygirl[at]gmail[dot]com
I would have LOVED one of those hospital gowns before my baby came. I would have worn it as a house dress!! I have always wanted to try a baby sling. My daughter loves it when I put her in my sister's baby bjorn.
I meant to put that as two comments: one saying I like the nursing covers and hospital gowns on the website and another saying why I'd like the sling! So count this as entry #2. :)
I would love the pink coutour nursing cover and sling!!!!!!! They are so chic and boy would they make my life easier!
Second post- I didn't have a sling with my son, even though I kept saying that I should get one! However, I was able to just sit and hold him alot because he was my first one! This time around (I am due with a girl in January), it will be much different! I am not going to be able to just sit and hold her! My son will be wanting my attention and I will need to get something done around the house eventually! A sling seems mandatory this time around!!!!!! I would LOVE to win!
Sunday drive sling and nursing cover are my favs. What a cool idea instead of just using a blanket for a nursing cover and have to keep it from falling down.
I love the Pink Couture sling!
I don't currently have a sling to use but with baby number 6 coming and having a 2 yr old and also I watch my 1 yr old nephew during the day I really want to be able to keep the new baby close while having my hands free for the other 2 little ones.
oh my favorite is the walk in the park reversible, gorgeous! i see why it would be out of stock!
sarahn4639 at gmail dot com
i love baby wearing because it's so easy! it's such a pain lugging a carseat around and it's so much better for our little babies to be held.
sarahn4639 at gmail dot com
I like the Buttery baby sling.
michelle at northofthe49 dot com
I love the walk in the park nursing cover!!
amitymatthia[at]hotmail[dot]com
I LOVE the Sweet Pea Hospital Gown! It is sooo cute! i wish i would have had something like this when I had my first! I'll have to get one for the next time!
i think the Time for Tea Sling is super cute and matches my clothing colors perfectly!
i have tried to use a sling becuz i want to so badly but i hated the one i had! it made my back hurt and andrew didn't like it anyway- so HELP! will this be any better? i want to carry him around becuz he likes it but i need my hands!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the hospital gowns!!! I will definitely have to have one next time around! The snap dragon fabric is fun!
Lisa
isabellaboo@earthlink.net
I did have a peanut shell with Isabella, but mine was a small and just barely fit, then my boobs went and got all huge, so I must upgrade to a medium in the future...poor baby didn't fit in there amongst the cleavage!
Lisa
isabellaboo@earthlink.net
I like the blacksplash baby black sling for my husband!
I love the Weekend in Paris sling but I have only boys so that wouldn't go over very well. But it is absolutely beautiful!
I am giving away a ring sling on my blog so feel free to stop by.
Baby Love Slings Bloggy Giveaway Goodness
second entry: My favorite thing about babywearing... getting to be present with both my boys (2 and 2months) at the same time. I can cuddle my newborn or nurse him or give him a secure place to nap while playing with and attending to the needs of my toddler. It is the greatest!
These slings are such a great idea. Looking at them, my mom said, "wish we would have had things like that". I love the champagne brunch one! Can't wait to see if I win. Thanks for the giveaway.
The Cherry Blossom It's Time bag is perfect.
dlcwin at gmail.com
My children are grown but I think the slings are great, wish I'd had them then, and would love to give this sling as a gift to a young friend of mine who is expecting.
dlcwin at gmail.com
I like the time for tea sling...cute!! Thanks for the giveaway.

The Time for Tea sling is so cute!
sethandtania at hotmail dot com
I am very much in agreement with you that this sling looks very practical. I wanted to use a sling w/ my first baby, but had nothing that worked practically. I couldn't even do dishes with any sling I worked before.
I hope to use one to do some routine tasks around the house.
I love the idea of a hospital gown. It is no fun to be somewhere strange not wearing something you feel comfortable wearing.
My favorite is the "time for tea" pattern. I have heard wonderful things about the peanut shell and would love to win it for my 3 month old.
I love to wear my 3 month old, especially since I am also chasing a 2 year old. It is so much easier than a stroller and I love being close. I even finally figured out how to nurse while she was in a sling last week.
I would have to say either the hospital gown or the hospital bag are great! I love that idea. moni.rapier at gmail.com
I really would like a swing b/c I beleive in keeping the baby close at first and then as my friends tell me it is easier to get stuff done if you are able to carry the baby in the sling! moni.rapier at gmail.com
i like the window shopping nursing cover (blue and green).
andrewandkristan(at)hotmail(dot)com
i would love to wear my next baby, since i had twins the first time around and i had to carry both of them, it wasn't possible to use a sling.
andrewandkristan(at)hotmail(dot)com
I like the Park Avenue Stroll Sling design. So pretty!
ksieker(at)hotmail(dot)com
I do not have a sling but would love to get one so I can make it through a grocery shopping trip without losing my mind!
ksieker(at)hotmail(dot)com
These are all gorgeous. I really like the window shopping sling. It's lovely. The hospital gowns are beautiful, but make me laugh a little. Still, I have spent a lot of time wondering what I will wear in labor!
I really want to hold my baby as close and as often as possible. I also think that slings are a nice way of saying, "Please don't put your hands on the face of my baby" because they have to be in your "space" to do that. I'd really love a beautiful carrier like this.
I like the walk in the park sling. So cute!
I like the vanilla bean nursing cover.
I love babywearing because I can keep #4 close while chasing after #s 1-3! and my hands are free to help them.
Would love to have the forget me not hospital gown for that 3rd baby I'm trying to talk my husband in to :)
thanks, Sarah
smatti78@yahoo.com
I want a sling b/c it will make life much easier--3rd child will be safe from siblings!
Thanks, Sarah
smatti78@yahoo.com
I love the time for Tea Sling!
The walk in the park sling is too cute - I love the pattern!!
peanut5005 AT hotmail DOT com
I LOVE baby wearing. Recently my 2 year old fell asleep in the car on the way pumpkin picking. I carried him around the farm for over an hour keeping him asleep - with absolutely no pain to me at all. I couldn't imagine not having a sling!!
I've heard so much about the peanut shells, I'd love to give one a try. Weekend in Paris is beautiful!
2nd entry - I had a hotsling and loved it with my son. We are planning a second child and I would love to try the peanut shell. I loved having my hands free while still holding my child. Thanks for hosting such a great giveaway!
The window shopping sling is my favorite. Such cute fabrics.
One of my favorite reasons to babywear is keeping my nieces close while out and about. One of my nieces is a runner and the other will only walk for a bit and then she complains she's tired. Using slings makes it much easier on all of us.
The Flor Cafe is so pretty! I love bold prints!
teacherkrista at gmail dot com
I have a ring sling that I made... but it really didnt' work well as it was too wide - too much fabric to go through the rings. I love wearing my baby(s) because it keeps them so much calmer!
teacherkrista at gmail dot com
I absolutely LOVE the nursing covers. All of the fabrics are gorgeous!
2nd entry: I am DESPERATE for a sling, but just can't afford it right now. 3 weeks ago, I gave birth to #5. I also homeschool my two oldest children. It would be so much easier to get things done if I could "wear" the baby throughout the day.
3rd entry: I follow you on twitter now! My username is angievinez
Oh my gosh. How fabulous are these slings! Been looking for a sling for bub number three but couldn't see anything that looked comfortable. I LOVE the Time for Tea sling the best.
- Nat Cole
2nd comment:
I currently have a 'pouch' style sling thing. I find it really uncomfortable and neither of my first two likes it either. REALLY hard to put on and off. I am looking for a comfortable easy sling for bub number three. I would love to 'wear' bub as my boys are 1 and 3.
- Nat Cole
These looks so great - I love the "walk in the park" fabric!
I currently use a homemade ring sling with a pleated shoulder. But I would definitely like to try something a little more attractive.
I've always wanted a Peanut Shell!! I love the Going To Market stretch sateen sling!
Oh gosh, babywearing is awesome for so many reason!! My favorite (besides getting to have my baby close all the time!) is having both hands free!!
What a great sling...I could really use this to multi-task. Thanks.
amanda_agema@hotmail.com
I love the organic sling! The others are nice but I love the jersey knit and solid color of the organic!
I don't have a sling yet because I am pregnant with my 1st! But my sister has loved using hers and well...I have never heard someone who doesn't like them!
I like the Red Yoko print.
I love using a sling because it's so much easier on my arms! I just took my six-year-old on a "bird walk" (with the Audubon Society) today, and I carted my seventeen-month-old along on my back in the sling. I'm looking for something with greater "popability," though, now that the little one is not so little anymore. :)
I really like the Time for Tea sling. Very pretty and yet so useful!
stacy loves nate (at) gmail (dot) com
I am currently pregnant with my first and HOPE to have a baby that will enjoy babywearing because I really like the bonding aspect of it.
stacy loves nate (at) gmail (dot) com
I have waited years and years to have a child. Now that I am I want to get her as close as possible. My favorite would be the pink in paris? I think thats what its called.
I love their nursing gowns and the cute BYOG slogan! :) m_huston(at)hotmail(dot)com
I love to wear my baby b/c I a believer in multi-tasking and what better way to multi-task than cuddling with your child! m_huston(at)hotmail(dot)com
I love the Time for Tea sling. Thanks for the giveaway!
The red yoko reversible and weekend in Paris are my 2 favorite patterns. Great selection!
cbeargie (at) yahoo.com
2nd comment: We're expecting baby #2 soon and I'd love to be able to babywear this child. I didn't use a sling with #1, but I've seen lots of people very happy using theirs and I'll really be needing extra hands with 2 kids.
The Mojito baby sling is gorgeous!
Second entry: I got very into baby wearing with my second son. He didn't let me put him down the first two months of his life, so my Moby wrap was an absolute lifesaver! I grew to love the closeness of baby wearing.
i love Walk in the Park sling very adorable!!
i love Walk in the Park sling very adorable!!
I would love to keep my hands free and a sling is perfect!!
I like the Boho Chic sling. These prices are very reasonable compared to other slings I've seen. And the fabrics are so pretty. I like to wear a sling because you can still hold your toddlers hands when you are out!
clarksrfun(at)gmail(dot)com
I love the vanilla bean nursing cover! These seem to make nursing in public so much easier! Me and my 6 week old baby would love something like this.
So cute! Those slings are so stylish! My fave was Boho Chic Baby Sling. I also love the forget me not hospital gown!
I like babywearing because it is nice for Mama & baby to be all cuddled together, and I feel more secure having the babe close to me (probably vice versa).
My favorite was the Paris sling!! It looks so cute & stylish!
What great patterns. I love the slings, but also the nursing covers. With my first child I had a very boring nursing cover.
Annukka thelenan@gvsu.edu
I currently do not have a sling and I would love to be closer to my daughter so that we could have more bonding time! I have been wanting one, but we can't afford one right now with the economy as it is which I am sure a lot of people are in the same boat!
I have a couple different baby carriers, none were prefect. But I felt that baby wearing was just right for us. My son was happier when he was close, and I felt like I could accomplish something while using a baby carrier. Once I started using my sling grocery shopping became completely tear free (for both of us).
Annukka thelenan@gvsu.edu
I love the nursing covers!
Nydiakoger@yahoo.com
Also for my second comment, I am having my 4th child in May and have never tryed a sling. I love the idea of keeping my baby close hands free, so would love to try one
nydiakoger@yahoo.com
I have never used a baby sling because it has never been in the budget. My daughter is now 1 month old and I spend most of the day holding her. I LOVE the Weekend in Paris fabric! SO cute and girly!!
I love to wear my baby because it allows me to be close to her all the time while still chasing my 2 year old around!
I like the Blacksplash sling. Black goes with everything right!
lerinleigh@gmail.com
Those are awesome. So stylish. I would love to get the Flor Cafe' Baby Sling.
Oh, such pretty fabrics. My favorite is the "window shopping" fabric.
I currently use a homemade fleece sling with my 10 month old. I've used it since he was only a week old. It's so handy for keeping him nearby at home, and it's much less bulky than a stroller when we're out & about. I've been eyeing the Peanut Shell for months!
Just love the Walk in the Park nursing cover
thanks!
I like the Time for Tea Sling.
perdita300@hotmail.com
Babywearing is the best for shopping, especially now that I have a toddler and a baby!
I did not have a sling with my son, but would love to have one with my next baby! Thanks for entering me!

I love the "going to market" sling - so festive and fun-looking. Thanks!
I never used a baby sling for my kids and they're all too old now but my sister is expecting her first and I'd love to win one for her! I think it would have been so great to have one.
I liked their hospital gowns. I also liked their bags. However, their best thing was their choice in fabrics- it made everything look extra special.
Second entry:
I made my first sling for my third child and I love it. The best thing is that I keep my baby close to me.
I love the nursing covers. They are very elegant looking.
momonamission2008.com
I love boho chic and going to market- gorgeous designs!
I've got an Ergo that I love for a slightly older baby or toddler, but it just doesn't do it for me with a little baby. Until they get too heavy for my bad back, I love the coziness of a sling, and I've been wanting to get a good one for whenever we have our next baby.
I love the nursing covers. My favorite was the Champagne Brunch that is oos until December.. may have to order it then!
I use an old sling that I got 10 years ago... (can't remember the brand). And a newer kangaroo carrier on occassion. Gotta wear the baby if I am to get anything else done, as this is my 5th baby! I'd love to have a new sling to try :)
Rice moisturizer is one of natural moisturizers it helps protect the skin from being damaged by
UVA and UVB which are the cause of melasma, freckle, and skin cancer.
Because its has plentiful minerals, unsaturated fatty acid and vitamins especially the natural
vitamin E which is in high quantity as Tocols (Tocopherol & Tocotrienol), Gamma-Qryzanol and Ceramide.
As far as my favorite...it's a toss up between the hospital bag and the nightgowns. I'm due in December and both would be handy!
I currently do not have a baby carrier and am having a hard time picking the right one for me and baby. The ones I've used in the past gave me terrible back aches, so I'd love one that is comfortable and cute at the same time. I like the Park Ave.
I like the Mojito!!! This would be a gift...thank goodness it isn't me with another baby...too old!!! Marla creativeboarder@yahoo.com
I like the Vanilla Bean stretch sateen fabric for the sling.
Wow! I love the Time for Tea Sling. Thanks for the chance!
The reason for wanting a sling is for our next baby. I'm not sure when I will have another but I have baby fever right now!
(This is my second entry.)
Oh! And I already follow you on Twitter as 3ladiesandadad.
What a great giveaway! I have been wanting a sling for several years! I have five children- the youngest is one month old. I would appreciate my hands being free and able to do some household chores and homeschooling!
I really liked the Sunday Drive Sling.
Thanks!
Rebekah
I have five children and purchased a sling at a yard sale many years ago (it was from Wal-Mart) and it killed my back! Needless to say, I used it once and that was it for me!
I am excited about this sling because it does not look anything like my other one; it looks like it supports your baby better and would not break your back.
A sling that works well would be a blessing in this busy house!
Thank you!
